3:14 Student Ministries
Welcome to 3:14 Student Ministries (more on the name later:). Since you’re here, we’d guess you would like to learn more about student ministries at Oak Hills.
First, we welcome your PRESENCE. 3:14 Student Ministries maintains an “open door” policy toward parents. You are welcome to visit one of our programs at any time. We want you to see for yourself what your student is experiencing week to week.
We value your INPUT. F eel free to share your input, concerns, questions, comments, and observations with our staff. We want to partner with you in any way we can.
We encourage your INVOLVEMENT. We are ALWAYS on the lookout for parents who have a special place in their heart for students and are open to joining our Youth Staff. The Youth Staff helps run events, lead small groups, organize ministry opportunities, and more.

So what’s with the name?
3:14 Student Ministries comes from the third chapter of the gospel of Mark. Mark’s gospel tells us that Jesus called to him those he wanted, so that they might be with him and that he might send them out to preach and to have the authority to cast out demons. This section of mark really captures for us what youth ministry is all about. Jesus called the disciples to be with him. as the disciples lived alongside Jesus they learned. They failed. They struggled. They questioned and they were transformed. That is what we want for our students. We want our students to be with Jesus. And because they have spent time in his presence, being transformed by his holy word and the community of faith—they are sent out to serve the world in whatever they do. Whether they go on to pursue a doctorate in biochemistry—they are sent out to serve. if they go on to join the armed forces—they are sent out to serve. Or if they go on to raise children in the home—students that leave 3:14 student ministries are sent out…because they have spent time in the presence of God, and he, not us, has transformed their hearts and minds.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR PARTNERSHIP,
Dave Campbell
